Don't take it personally; Chippy's never said anything useful.
I've got the zafira, and the lights aren't too bad on them, the Haynes manual covers the astra and zafira, and again seems ok, what's in the way on yours?

The Astra is a bit tight but fairly easy. Just twist and pull.

Cheers fellas , had a look under the bonnet and there doesnt seem room to get your hand inbetween the light and all the casing.....maybe i should have another look , also not sure what bulbs to even get , the halfords website asks for my reg and then shows humdreds of generic bulbs ?!

The bulbs you need are a standard size so it's hardly surprising there are a few different sorts available. The H7 bulbs needed for the dipped lights, for example, must be used on hundreds of different vehicles. You won't find ones that say "Vauxhall Astra" on the pack. Fitting should be straightforward as I recall. Access might be a bit tight depending on which side it is, but shouldn't be impossible.

Ask Halfords if they will fit the bulb for a fiver. If they say 'yes' then you can do it yourself. If they say 'no' (they have a list that they refer to, which includes Ford Ka) then you won't be able to either.
