gap insurance

i have just got a new car and my insurance will replace car in 1st yr if written off. Can I buy gap insurance at the end of the 1st year>?

    I used www.ala.co.uk and found them competitive. They offer GAP insurance for vehicles bought less than 45 days ago and also over 45 days ago. Not sure about the difference in premium though.

    If you google "click for gap" or return to invoice you will find it much cheaper than a dealer.
    Yes you can get it at any time but It will then go of the second hand price.
    Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.
