Smoking on train platform
My husband is an idiot :mad: Wanted to say that straight away and am not looking to justify his actions. Am looking at this from a moneysaving perspective. In February he lit up a cigarette on a train platform not realising that it is an enclosed public space. He put it out straight away and provided all details to…

Hi there, firstly apologies if this is the wrong section. Wasn't too sure if this was the correct place to post. Which of these would return better mpg?
Having an ongoing debate with a mate of mine. WHich of these 2 scenarios would give you better mpg? 1) Driving in 4th gear and change up to fifth gear. fifth gear engages at 1500-2000 revs. The car doesn't have much pull in this rev range but it doesn't seem too unhappy to be driving at that lower rev range. Or, 2) Driving…

Hole in rear exhaust, slight blowing. But looks like it's meant to be there...
There's a tiny pin hole at the front bottom of my rear exhaust back box - but it looks like it is meant to be there. Is this a drain hole of some description? There is slight blowing there. Have wire brushed it and the exhaust itself doesn't look too bad. Just checking things over before the MOT. If there are such drain…

Citroen C3 Diesel - Black smoke
Hi, I am no expert with cars. I have a Citroen 2002 C3 1.4HDi. What 1st starting the car in the morning a cloud of black smoke comes from the exhaust. This only happens on the 1st start of the day and only lasts seconds (e.g. Only when the engine 1st turns) Is this normal? Other than that the car is fine.

Hi My daughter is buying car, she hasn't passed her test yet but she wants one now to have extra lessons in from me. To save on insurance, I was wondering if I could insure the car in my name and add her as an additional driver? Someone told me you can't but I'm not sure.
