Hi, I suppose you mean used (otherwise you're gonna get a shock
)? The best place to start for the Kuga is probably DirectFord, which is like Vauxhall's Network Q.
http://www.directford.co.uk/
Also try https://www.networkq.co.uk
Alternatively you can buy a pre-reg Antara for £15k - http://www.broadspeed.com/cgi-bin/bsc/config.pl?request=getvers&ref=gg&rs=&make=Vauxhall&model=Antara
But they don't really get much cheaper than that; the Kuga starts at £18k pre-reg. Quite expensive arent't they!!"The only man who makes money from a gold rush is the one selling the shovels..."0 -
You might have missed the boat on the Kuga I'm afraid. Here were the prices you could pick them up for in February:-
Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi Zetec 4WD 5dr £16,189 Saving £4,729 (23%)
Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi Titanium 5dr £17,554 Saving £5,364 (23.5%)
At least gives you a base point.
Drivethedeal have this currently:-
Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi Titanium 5dr £18,619 Saving £5,0950 -
New 2WD Kugas are around £18k from internet sites.
If you're looking at Antaras then why not also look for the Chevy Captiva - it's the same car - Captiva VCDi 5 door 2WD - £14,621 on Broadspeed.com (about 3k cheaper than a new Antara)The man without a signature.0 -
Get the Kuga, brilliant car. Had one since Dec. Faultless so far, brilliant in the snow, brilliant on motorway, but still to fun to drive you can fling it round corners almost as fast as a focus.
Economy is a bit !!!! tho, getting 38mpg out of the diesel. But for the first few thousand it was a struggle to get more than 35. This is indicated can't be arsed to work out what it is actually doing. However i doubt the Vaux is any better.0 -
Thanks for the replies, We will check the web sites you listed..
Still not sure whether to go for the vauxhall or the ford though?
Hope we can get a good deal.

Best bet is to go for a test drive and see which you prefer; here are some reviews of similar engine sizes:

Or, WhatCar:

As you can see, no reviewer ever agrees on the same thing, I pay little heed to reviews personally."The only man who makes money from a gold rush is the one selling the shovels..."0 -

I've been on two test drives in the Kuga, once as a passenger and once as driver. I was impressed with the drive for an SUV, it was comfortable and it handled almost as well as a hatchback. The Diesel engine had decent power and at higher speeds, the road noise was low.
The specification is decent on the Zetec for the price point. I think the Titanium could have benefited from parking sensors as standard for £2k extra though. The interior look and feel is quite good, but seems a little tacky compared to the German or Japanese rivals.
However, when I opened the boot, it was a disappointment. It is small, so small in fact, space wise, I think you'd be better off with a Focus. Unfortunately, this was a deal killer for me and I had to cross it off my list.0 -
Both are good cars, the Kuga has not been out for long and due to limited supply second hand prices are remarkably high for a Ford SUV especially as most are fairly basic Zetecs - supply and demand. Personally I think too high for now. I suspect when the 2.2 diesels start coming out there will be a lot more used 2.0's on the market.
Antara has been around longer but hasn't been a big seller so should be cheaper but may be hard to find.
Are you sure you wouldn't prefer a Honda CRV? decent boot, nice to drive, better engine more classy interior and plenty around so deals to be had.
Why not take a look at a Kia Sportage? good engine, tonnes of equipment, well made, very practical and a lot more fun and refined to drive than the Car press will ever admit (we have one in our little fleet) and you can get a nearly new one for amazing value.0
