if it were the 1950's id agree cars need to be slower but its 2009, vented disc brakes, abs etc etc, speed doesnt kill idiots do!

Some dimwit decided that Portsmouth(or at least the majority of) roads should be 20mph.

Good idea in principle.but we still get pratts driving at 40mph so they are now 20mph over rather than 10mph and they are still t@@@@rs

I admit that I speed often however I am not stupid about it and do not speed in areas such as schools etc.
Its all about getting more money from the motorist!


More people die each year from asbestos related diseases yet products contatining asbestos are still being imported illegally!!

Spend millions changing speed limits which are still ignored or spend the money on educating people to cross the road when a car isn't approaching at speed.

Yep, the times I'm stuck behind someone doing 30mph (in a 30mph zone) then the limit changes to national. Does their speed change though?!

It's usually quite funny.
I do 30 in a 30 zone, tailgated by a moron, I get to the national limit sign, put my foot down, and find the same moron now on the wrong side of the road, either next to me on slightly behind me, wondering why he can't get past.
