Recommend car to learn in
I am looking to buy a car that will be used for local journeys and for my daughter to learn to drive in. It must be economical to run, reliable and cheap to insure. I am looking to spend around £4000. I would prefer 5 doors, but would consider 3. Any recommendations much appreciated.

For the last 4 years I've owned a 1991 BMW 318iS. That's the last of the old style 3 series saloons, with a pepped up 16v engine that was a…

Whats happened to all the apex fares?
Just had a look on 'The Trainline'. If I want to travel tomorrow, the cheapest fare is an off peak saver £116.70. I threw a few random dates into the equation 2/3 months down the line. The cheapest fare again was £116.70. Twelve to eighteen months ago I could regulaly find apex fares sub £50. Has something changed? I don't…

Help needed in choosing replacement car
I had a lovely little Suzuki Alto that was written off last week as someone kindly drove into the back of me. It was good little car, reliable, good on fuel, no problems etc but it was a bit of a tin can. The car I have been driving whilst that was off the road is a Ford Ka, quite like the feel of it but feel a bit…

DSA Compensation?
They cancelled my test a day before the date I was supposed to have it. Still had to pay my instructor the 4 hours that were scheduled. Ideally, I would be reimbursed for at least 2 hours - but not sure - I did fill in the form with my instructor to state 4 hours - how does this work and how long should it take? Thanks!
