DSA Compensation?

They cancelled my test a day before the date I was supposed to have it. Still had to pay my instructor the 4 hours that were scheduled.

Ideally, I would be reimbursed for at least 2 hours - but not sure - I did fill in the form with my instructor to state 4 hours - how does this work and how long should it take?

Thanks!

4 hours ! test is about 45mins 2 hours would be plenty unless you are driving along way to the test.

Can't see the DSA giving you anything (I may be wrong I don't know) but why did you not just use the time up with more lesson time?

Instructor seen you coming didnt he/she?

2 hours is usual an hour before and then an hour to cover the test time.

Being realistic, if you really need 3 hours before your test, then do you really think you are ready?

That's the whole point lol.. I was ready for my test the next day... I ended up having to pay the 4 hours which my tutor sets - 2 hours before test and 2 hours for driving to test centre, doing test and driving back).

As they cancelled/postponed the test day, it meant I had to book ANOTHER 4 hours. So in total I paid for 8 hours, when it should have only been 4...

my intention wasn't to claim the whole lot back - it's just the form asked, how many hours did you book for on the day... And that's what it was lol. We (tutor and I) just expected the DSA to award whatever they thought was reasonable... Bloody better get something.. Out of pocket coz of them!
