This seems extortionate as in Bradford…

Unleaded Petrol Alternative
We have all heard of useing cooking oil as an alternative to diesel. A week or two ago someone told me you can use cooking oil in unleaded cars as long as you don't use too much ie 2-3 pints every 2-3 tank fills. Can anyone tell me if this is correct?

Stopped by police, Problems with producer HO/RT10
On 26th December at around 10am I was stopped by police on my way to work. After looking at the car police decided to give me 3points on the spot for defects to the car. The defects where regarding the tyres and the breaks. From what I saw the officers only examined the car with a torch. My argument hear is that the police…

I had an annual 1-6 London Transport travelcard (on Oyster) worth £1,640. However I just found some small print (which no one told me despite phoning Oyster three times and going into two Tube…

Parking ticket issued - but i had paid and displayed!
Hi everyone, Today i parked my car on Bexley Road, Erith (ok not a nice place), paid my 40p for an hours parking and went off to do my job. I come back 5 minutes before the ticket expired, and found a lovely PCN on my windscreen. I was obviously livid at this, having parked in the correct bay, and had not overstayed my…

Railcard discounts on Oyster Pay as you Go
Transport for London's new fares came into effect yesterday. They're shouting about the fact that single fares have been frozen, but are keeping a little more coy about the fact that Travelcard and Pay as you Go capping rates have risen with inflation. (The PAYG cap is usually 50p less than the cost of a 1-day travelcard…

Is 1.6 petrol or 2.0 diesel more MSE for me?
I do 30 miles a day about 25 of which are on 50-70 mph A road. I am looking to buy a replacement Zafira after my last one was totalled. A few questions: Is a 2.0 DTI worth buying in terms of fuel efficiency versus up front cost compared to the 1.6 petrol that I had? Also what sort of mileage is considered "acceptable" for…

Toad Text Alert Pager - and cheap Chinese GSM alarms on eBay.
Anyone tried these? Any good as a standalone device without an alarm? Can't find many reviews but Toad is a reasonably respected brand. Thought it could be a good alternative to a car alarm being easy to install, and not making a loud sound that gets people all excited about setting it off. There's also loads of cheap…

It never happens in…
