First Capital Connect - Null days?
I'm planning to ring FCC, who are dragging their heels honouring my compensation for 4 null days (as I understand it, a null day means the service is so awful, they write the whole day off and you can claim your fare back) As you can see from my linked rant thread, they're asking for the time I was delayed by. As far as…

What MPG are you getting?
What are you getting in your cars MPG wise its usually well outside of the manufacturers claims. I have an Audi A3 1.8T Sport which should only do 35mpg! (Mpg 37.88) KM per Litre:13.41 Pence per mile:10.56 So 12,000 miles costs me £1,281.60. If I switched to a diesel that gave 56.83mpg the annual cost goes down to £854.40!…

Will I fail an MOT for this?
I wonder if you people can help me. Its a Peugeot 206. I have put tape over the top of the bulb to prevent glaring at motorists behind me. Light is still able to come out below it to light up the registration plate. My questions are: 1.) Will this fail an MOT test? 2.) How do I get it repaired cheaply? 3.) Are there any…

Car insurance for a shorter period than a year?
In November 2005 I knocked a cyclist of her bike - completely my fault. Luckily she was unhurt and after taking my registration number and giving me a good verbal going over, understandably, she rode off. I drove to nearest police station to report the accident and also informed my insurance company. No claim has been made…

Savings on peak time train commuting?
I originally posted this in the "Travel, Trips & Holidays" board, didn't spot this sub-board :o . So re-posting in case it's more relevant here. If you're a train commuter and you buy monthly peak-time rail tickets, you possibly only use it for weekdays even though the ticket covers weekends as well. But you can buy DIY…
