Im looking to go Brighton on Friday with a friend. Need a Return ticket, coming back on Saturday. SHould leave around 10am and catch the return coach or train around 10am again.

National Express charge £33.20 - 10% promotional code = £29.88 for 2 tickets.

Surely, this is too expensive, my cousin the other day got a return train ticket from manchester for a similar price.

I know its short notice, but can someone help asap pleaasseee!!

I can either take train or coach. Not looking to spend more than £15 per head.

By the way, can we buy tickets at the station? or do they have to be booked online? is there a difference in price when booking online?

Thanks in advance,

  • Where are you going from? You could try thetrainline.co.uk but it might be a bit late, although the tickets you print yourself should be o.k.

Where are you travelling from ??
Do you have a Network Railcard (get 1/3 off) ??

    Rail Enquiries: 08457 48 49 50

London (Victoria/Kings Cross Thameslink) - Brighton Saver Return around £24,
    with railcard around £16.

Buy rail tickets at station, no need to book.

    https://www.megabus.com
    London Victoria 1000 - Brighton 1220, £8 return.

I live in Waterloo, London. So can take any station from London. I am 17 and so is my friend, we dont have Railcards.

How long does it take? Was looking to get there before 12pm. If taking coach, we would need to get on 9ish but not sure how fast trains get there.

We could come back at a later time e.g. after 10am the next morning.

By the way, we are going on Saturday now, change of plans and ocming back on Sunday, so, the tickets could be cheaper now, right?

I am basically lost. Need your help. PLEASE!

    Thanks in advance,

I wont qualify for child rate would I? I do have the child rate oyster card for 16-17 yrs old?

I was thinking of using the travelcard upto zone 6 then buying the ticket from the last station which should cut the price.

Southwest Trains also go to Brighton, dont they? I can catch the train from Waterloo which would be better for me as I live nest to the station.

    Megabus works out cheaper.

Not looking to pay more than £10 for return with coach and no more than £20 return with train.

Any cheap offers out there? 2for1?
  • Southern do a DaySave ticket allowing unlimited travel on Southern trains (between London and Brighton) after 10am Mon-Fri, all day Sat for £10. Obviously for two days, you will need to buy two of these - so works out at £20rtn. They can only be bought online here: http://www.southernrailway.com/main.php?page_id=189

Don't think trains go from Waterloo to Brighton.

    Southern trains go to Brighton.

But I am going to use Megabus, total is £21.50 for 2. It's gone up by £1, last night it was £20.50, why is that?

Any codes out there for Megabus? Just realised that they have a promotional code box.

    Thanks,
