First Capital Connect - Null days?

Options
I'm planning to ring FCC, who are dragging their heels honouring my compensation for 4 null days (as I understand it, a null day means the service is so awful, they write the whole day off and you can claim your fare back)

As you can see from my linked rant thread, they're asking for the time I was delayed by. As far as I'm concerned, this is irrelevant as the whole day is void.

Can anyone shed any light on null days, or the intricacies of FCC's compensation system?

Thanks!

I thought that void days just got added on to your next season ticket?

What you are saying is right tho, usually void days are days when it has not been possible to travel at all generally, you shouldn't have to say your exact journeys. The forms you have sound like a normal single ticket form?

The forms they gave us to fill in are really intended for single day claims. There isn't a form for null days, as far as I'm aware.

The whole thing is stupid - in the Thameslink days things were handled much better. You'd get your 5% off your ticket (because the service was so consistently lousy) plus on really bad days you got a half or full day refund, which you got by filling in a form, handing it over the counter, then coming back to claim the cash a few days later.

FCC have got it sussed - no 5% discount despite lousy service, and you have to send away a form to get your compensation. How many people are likely to bother?

    Ker-ching!
