Credit cards and mortgage application
To be safe is it best not to use credit cards at all during the application process and until completion, is that what people would recommend? I suppose if I pre-pay my credit card that would be ok (we get lots of useful points for using it)?

Adverse credit mortgage broker
Hi there, I was just wondering if there are any brokers specialising in adverse credit who tend to be considered the best in that field? Any recommendations? Or are the national leading brokers (e.g. L&C) just as helpful with these types. Many thanks

FTB finally done it
So after a lot of deliberation over the past few years we have finally done it and found a house, had offer accepted and started ball rolling. We think we should be in a good position, 65k joint annual income, after a mortgage of 140k on property at 160k. One dependent, financial commitments of 343 pm which will continue…

Nationwide - 2 months and counting for a DIP!
Be careful about relying on Nationwide – even if you think you’re a shoe-in. Granted having a BTL mortgage makes our position slightly complicated but we can easily afford what we’re applying for. We just wanted a DIP for a purchase in progress, but we’re up to 2 months now – despite calling them every day last week. It’s…
