    Why do you ask?

We are looking at using them for a mortgage. I am a discharged bankrupt (6 years discharged April 3rd) and they are the only one I can find who at 10% deposit will consider us. Ideally we would wait, but we have found a property that we want to offer on. The market here is moving at a scary rate with 3beds going same day on first viewings, they are also rising at a rate faster than we can save.

We have a broker that tried with Halifax 6 months ago but they sais no (it was at 5% then though) so she wants to wait until April (which I know would be the most sensible thing!). MM have looked through the credit reports and are happy that we should apply.

    Is the broker suggesting Melton?

Your decline by Halifax based on a 5% deposit is not surprising given your history. Credit scoring at that level is very tight.

You have a complex adverse history and should not be trying to sort this yourself.

If you are not confident in your broker engage another with a better grasp of adverse cases.

    Thank you

So what are your concerns given you've done the research?

I was just looking to see if anyone else had experience of using them as they are not one of the big banks.
