Forces Help to Buy (FHTB) and The Goverment Help to Buy Equity Scheme

Apologies I didn't know which board I should post in either here or mortgages but I felt you guys over here would know more about this and maybe have some experience.
Does anyone know if you can use the Forces Help to Buy Scheme with the Government Help to Buy equity Scheme?
I have found some places that say yes you can some that say your can't. On the RAFF website it says you can but I saw on Nationwide that they don't accept this.
Has anyone used both to purchase a house? If so who is your provider and was it straight forward?
Many thanks in advance

AFAIK it's one or the other, not both.I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Interesting, the Treasury says Forces Help to Buy can be used with the Help to Buy equity loan scheme as this is viewed as a financial transaction as opposed to being a mortgage product where a lender must purchase a guarantee. So this isn't the case in the real world of lenders?I am DEBT - FREE!?!?0

It does appears a lender decision whether to allow them to be combined, rather than a scheme decision.
I suggest speaking to an independent mortgage broker for help with lenders who will permit this. One experienced in newbuild and armed forces personnel would be sensible if you are set on buying a newbuild.I am a mortgage broker.
