To be safe is it best not to use credit cards at all during the application process and until completion, is that what people would recommend?

I suppose if I pre-pay my credit card that would be ok (we get lots of useful points for using it)?

I'm currently in the same process applying for a mortgage. I had cleared my credit cards before starting process but I have paid the upfront solicitor fee and the mortgage survey fee using my credit card and then paid it off in the same month so I presume for me it won't matter or show up? Anyone clarify this?

Normal monthly credit card spending shouldn't be a problem.
