First time buyer - Help Please

Hi all,
I am a first time buyer and would like some advice please.
So I approached a Mortgage Adviser because I was worried about my default 4 years ago. However he was able to get me an AIP with Virgin Money 04/03/15
My offer on a property got accept on Tuesday 11/03/15. I instructed a solicitor 12/03/15. Got a call today (13/03/15) to pay for the searches. Seeing my Mortgage Advisor to fill out the Mortgage application.
Please could you give me the different stages and time-scales you had to you thru?
I feel like I might kill over from all the stress and waiting. Lol
Thanks a lot

Dont have the searches done until you have a full mortgage offer!
If the application is declined you could lose money on searches.
I would say:
DIP
Application should be looked at and offered within 2 weeks with virgin money (assuming they have all docs).
At that point I would then have the solicitor start the searches etc.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
