Using a 4G SIM in a Nokia Lumia 530.
My Motorola G5 decided to throw something of a wobbler the other evening and isn't now working. I removed my Plusnet 4G SIM from the G5 and put it into a Nokia Lumia 530 to tide me over for the time being. Calls and texts work fine, but the mobile data connection doesn't want to work at all. I've done the basics like…

Best Data SIM for Temporary Home Broadband (Hotspot/Tethering)
My Dad has canceled his broadband with Plusnet and temporarily taking a break from broadband providers for a few months. He only uses the web for email and an hour or two browsing a day I temporarily set up mobile hotspot/tethering for him on his current plan (O2/500mb) and was wondering what good data plans are out there.…

Rights after expiry of 24 month contract on ‘flagship’ Sony Xperia
Hi All, I wanted a quality phone with a large screen that would last beyond the contract so I could go on sim only deal for a while rather than jumping straight onto another contract in order to save some money. As it stands, this ‘flagship’ phone has only lasted 5 months beyond the contract period, becoming unusable and…

Bt mobile abroad
Has anyone experienced problems with BT mobile in Tenerife? For the past two trips I have been unable to even get a signal. Complained on my return to be told that I should have complained at the time (which was impossible err .. as I couldn't connect to a network at all!) :(

EE cancellation charge at end of contract
I had a 24-month phone contract with EE that was due to finish on 22 June 2018. I called their customer services in early June to discuss going on to a 30-day rolling SIM-only contract when my current contract expired. For a 1-GB data plan, they quoted £14 per month! I pointed out that I could get a better deal for £6 per…

BT Mobile Fair use policy abroad.
So, Seems that the 20gb sim contract is not 20gb when I go abroad. The first 15 GB is allowed in your allowance then you pay for anything after than. Which means this is nonsense. Surely this is a scam, probably legal, but scam nonetheless.

EE phone ported to another network. But sim still active and makes calls
Hi A month ago I transfer my number onto giffgaff out of EE. The port was successful, the giffgaff sim makes and receives calls on my original number. Normally the original network would deactivate the sim. For some reason this hasn't happened and the EE sim card is still live and makes call and the recipient gets the…

THREE sending txts on-line
I saw an article, a few weeks ago that interested me - implying that THREE had finally caught up with EE in allowing its customers to send (and possibly receive ?) texts on-line (from a website) - useful when the 3G/4G signal is non-existent (and when you don't have your phone available) - yet on further investigation - it…

My girlfriend's just tried to purchase a phone from mobiles.co.uk, but has failed an internal security check. Anyone have any ideas on what they check for? My OH has had the G4 plus for just less than two years and has been very happy with it apart from the ghost touch issue that started about six months ago and has steadily got worse.
