ID Mobile and spam calls that get charged without answering help
Hi guys,
My daughter has an ID Mobile contract (Although i don't think this post is directed at them). Recently she has had a few missed calls from Random countries, such as Africa etc.
She has not answered these, but she has been charged by the operator (there are a few online articles supporting this, but no definitive answer to stop it). We noticed this as I have a 35 cap on anything not in her contract.
ID refunded this money, but how do i stop this form happening again and again.
Her international calling was on, but i have switched that off now, not sure if this will make a difference though.
Anyone else had similar experience or know how to stop this?
Thanks in advance

You cannot be charged for incoming calls. That is not how the telephone system works.0

Well, you have learnt something new today then, because i have and the operator confirmed this.0

You definitely cannot be charged for an incoming call that is not even answered - that would be ridiculas
You have your wires crossed somewhere0 -
^^ Yes I read that too .
It has to be malware on the phone that is making the call as there is no way to manipulate the telephone system to charge for an unanswered incoming call.
Quite a clever mulit-pronged attack

Hi, It's unlikely that you would be charged for answering a call whilst you are in the UK. However in some cases callers may have a premium rate message which can sometime incur charges.
