ISA Transfer certificate
Was in Barclays today opening a Tax Haven ISA. Got talking about transferring last year's Tax Beater ISA to another provider when the 12 months is up and it loses it's 1% bonus. Was told that as from 5th of this month the customer has to go along to the original provider and get a certificate which he then gives the new…

ISA Transfer Question
During this financial year I would like to open 2 seperate cash ISA accounts with 2 different providers so that I can put my 08/09 £3,600 allowance in one and in the other I would like to transfer some balances for previous years. The reason I would like to use 2 accounts is that the one paying the best rate for me this…

I have tried to look at all the information and rules about ISAs and am stupidly still confused... I have an ISA with Nationwide and haven't put any money into it or any other ISA this tax year. I want to open a Barclays tax haven ISA for this tax year 2008/09 with 'new' money and make regular savings into it. Can I also…

Best ISA rate ?
Hi all, any advice appreciated. I am looking for the best ISA, I am planning to save a regular amount approx £300 each month. I was going to go with the Barclays tax beater, but I just spotted the First Direct 7% regular saver ISA. Am I overlooking something...or this this a really good ISA offer ? Also, any suggestions…

Beware First Direct ISA
It was 6% fixed (until March 2009) last week, but has now dropped to 5.89% fixed (until March 2009). I'm guessing it's to get people to take out their reg ISA at 7% instead. Not good, as I was going to open last week, but told had to wait till this week to open (as already had an ISA) and now it's dropped.

Skipton or the Bradford & Bingley Fixed Rate
Currently want to put my full 2008/09 allowance in ether the Skipton or the Bradford & Bingley Fixed Rate Limited Issue Mini Cash Isa. However, the funds to finance this won't be available until the end of the month. My two option are: 1. Invest minimum amount now so the account is open and then top up later. However, can…

ISA Confused
Hi, Can anybody clarify t&c's of investing in ISA's? I currently pay £75.00 per month into a Nationwide Instant Access ISA and have done for about 5 years now. Current ISA value is approx £5600. I also pay £75.00 a month into a Stocks & Shares ISA managed by Insight Investment. This has also run for about 5 years and has a…

National Counties BS ISA
There doesn't seem to be much discussion of this product on here, as far as I can see it has a good rate and a good guarantee of 0.4% above the BoE base rate (though only for a year) I'm trying to plough through as much info as I can regarding where to put this years money and I don't want to go with Barclays as I don't…

Im I just lazy? NS&I ISA.
I've got a direct ISA with NS&I. I want to put more money into this tax year and although I have looked at the different discussions about which ISA is best Im just tempted to put the money into the NS&I account and avoid the hassle of opening a new ISA. Although with the current economic climate Im not sure this is the…

Birmingham Midshires ISA
I've been dithering about my isa now for a week or 3 and i'm starting to get some idea of where i'm going with it! I've been looking at the Birmingham Midshires Direct ISA today and the guarantee is a bit strange 'Rate guaranteed to be at least 0.25% above the ING Direct Cash ISA standard AER until 01/01/2010' The rate is…

NSI to Lloyds
Hi everyone. I opted for the new fixed rate isa from lloyds. Setup the account - no probs. Put in new monies for the tax year - some problems, but got it in eventually. Leading me to my question: I've completed the transfer in form, for my old ISA from NS&I. Obviously this is going to take time to complete - I accept that,…

Icesave ISA transfer time.
I've been looking at various threads on here regarding how long it takes Icesave to transfer ISA money, and it appears that there were delays recently with the amount of time it took. I've currently got my isa with NSandI and am considering what to do with this years money and Icesave looked attractive, however if its…

What Equity ISA?
I have #20,000 in a cash ISA, I'm 33 years old and feel I should move across to the less than cautious side - an Equity ISA! My attitude to risk should be more aggressive, I assume, as this is all based around a 30 year returement plan. Any advice...............please???

Just been to Nationwide to open ISA
[FONT="]What a bunch of muppets. Went in earlier and they would not accept our ISA forms because they were printed in feb 08 and they should be apr 08. I got the packs from another Nationwide Branch just a week ago. Also if you just put the bank name down for the transfers section and don't have the address you would…

Lloyds 6.5% Cash ISA
I have £6k to transfer in and will add my £3600 to this to take me over the £9k min for the 6.5% rate. As far as I can tell, this is the best ISA out there at the moment for my circumstances; I have no intention of touching the money for the next 12 months and really don't need anything special from it apart from the best…

Cash ISA's - Multiple Providers Question
I have a Cash ISA that I have contributed to for many years now. Each year putting in the maximum £3000. As a result I have a sum that is close to the £35000 covered by the Finacial Services Compensation Scheme. Therefore I want to deposit this years amount (£3600) with another provider. Can I do this? i.e. Can I keep the…
