Lloyds 6.5% Cash ISA

I have £6k to transfer in and will add my £3600 to this to take me over the £9k min for the 6.5% rate. As far as I can tell, this is the best ISA out there at the moment for my circumstances; I have no intention of touching the money for the next 12 months and really don't need anything special from it apart from the best possible interest.

Is there any other ISA I should consider before I sign up?

THANKS!

My decision to take this one was based on a belief that rates would probably drop from current levels for the rest of the year. That affects whether you consider it a good deal to fix the rate?

If you do decide to go for it then it has been posted elsewhere that they may be withdrawing it early (this friday has been suggested).

Agreed. Definitely closing on 11 April, so if this is for you, you need to hurry.

    While,
Barclays will give you 6.5% on the New Money, with no ties ,
& Abbey would give you 6.25% for both New & Old,

tieing in for 12 months (albeit with an expensive exit option) seems the only way to protect against falling rates - so if you're not going to need it ... it's almost a no-brainer....
Added to which, it seeems, they'll still let you keep adding to it throughout the year (up to 3,600 and any other Old ISA Money you want to pull in) for the SAME (6.5%) rate, even if interest rates plummet elsewhere.
What other Fixed rate deal would let you do that ?

I took this ISA out today. I have a fixed rate ISA with another provider that matures in August. The adviser confirmed that I can transfer that money into this ISA too.
I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.
