Cash ISA's - Multiple Providers Question

I have a Cash ISA that I have contributed to for many years now. Each year putting in the maximum £3000. As a result I have a sum that is close to the £35000 covered by the Finacial Services Compensation Scheme. Therefore I want to deposit this years amount (£3600) with another provider. Can I do this? i.e. Can I keep the 30K with one bank and it continue to accumulate tax free interest and open a new cash ISA for the 08/09 Tax Year with another bank?
Thanks
