Electric Shower
Hi since I moved into my new property it has an existing Triton T80Z eco electric shower, the issue is it only seems to want to turn the water extremely hot or freezing cold and no other way of changing the gauge, should I just buy a new electric shower, would this solve all my problems?

Best primer for painting over wallpaper?
We're moving into a new house with horrible patterned wallpaper and we want to paint over it. Is Zinsser 3-in-1 Wallpaper Cover Up my best choice? (Stripping the paper isn't currently an option as it will bring the plaster off and we can't afford to re-plaster just yet) thanks in advance

Washing machine smells of acrid smoke smell
Hi guys, In addition to my other thread on nearly burning down my flat with what in effect was a protein fire... It seems my washing machine (inside) has now taken on the smell. Therefore washing clothes in there seems to actually make them smell more of the acrid burning smell. I'm starting to actually lose the plot here…

Blocked drain between two semis - who's responsible
I live in Victorian-semi. I just opened a drain which is located between my house and our neighbour and noticed quite a bit of standing water there. The drain is located on side access to our gardens. I am trying to establish whether it is water company or ours responsibility to get it cleared. I can't figure out from…

Pinhole leak repair in hard to access pipe
My dad discovered a leak coming from behind a boarded out area of the kitchen and after removing the boards we discovered the leak is coming from a pinhole leak in a hot water pipe. Unfortunately the pipe is very close to the wall and the leak is coming from the backside of the pipe. There's probably about 3mm between the…

Stubborn Yucca
Hi, We have recently moved into our house and right next to the front door was a big yucca. We really didn’t like it plus we were a little worried about the roots being so close to the house. Party Wall notice - unnecessary?
Hello We had planning permission approved for a rear extension and BR drawings submitted etc. Our engineer advised us to get a PW surveyor in order to be sure whether we need to serve a PW notice to our neighbours, the rule being that we may excavate within 3m of the boundary. He is not sure we need one so he suggested a…
