Bosch washing machines - waste outlet guide
I read a review which said that Bosch machines do not come with this U-shaped outlet guide. Does anyone know if this is true? I’ve tried their customer services but they seemed unsure.

Hi All, We are planning a home refurbishment project which will include some major works (removing a load bearing wall, adding a new toilet, removing one external door, adding patio door, etc) and some other cosmetic changes. Washing machine putting small black marks on clothes!
Using the washing machine in my new house for the first time, my white socks have got little dark spots on them that were not there when they went in! I did run the machine empty on a hot wash with the usual detergent before I used it, any suggestions what to try to remedy this...? Here is a photo of it:

Septic tank field drain
Long story but basic question is we have a septic tank that drains into a field. This setup has existed for over 30 years. Now a large housebuilder is building in that field. Our Council tells us that this is nothing to do with them and we need to take up the issue with the housebuilder as it’s a matter between landowners.…

Priming doors, cracks in primer.
I'm painting our internal doors at the moment, they've been fully stripped. No matter how many coats of Leyland Primer I put on, there are still cracks coming through the primer. Would much rather there not be cracks, before the topcoats. Any tips? Cheers.

Rust marks in paint
Good afternoon to all, Quick question. Exterior of house painted in white Dulux Weathershield Exterior paint. Hanging basket bracket bolts have rusted, and there is now a rust mark running from it, and thus has (most likely) stained the paint. I've tried cleaning it with a pressure washer, but no joy. Is there any way of…

Acorn Stairlifts
Just in case you are looking at low cost stairlift options for a loved one or relative I am sharing my recent experience. Having read Acorns website claims regarding customer aftercare and the fact that they are a UK design and manufacture company with an established presence I thought they would be a good bet. My Aunt had…

Any ideas what it can be and if it is repairable by someone who has basic DIY skills. It's…

Escalating Howdens complaint beyond branch manager
I placed an order for a Howdens kitchen via my builder's account. My builder was quite hand's off so all my communication has been with the branch manager who did the planning and placed the order. The branch manager has made a big mistake with the order. I couldn't have identified this mistake before delivery because I…

Asbestos sheets in garden
Just been told by a workman from next door that this is most probably asbestos. It's at the end of the garden at the side of the neighbour's summerhouse. I've been excavating right next to it in recent weeks. And have definitely handled with my bare hands a few pieces which had already broken off. How much harm might I…
