Hi My pipe and all fittings are JG but my darling son (Hmm)  went out to get 2 elbows and came back with the brand "Flomasta" from B&Q.
Am i safe to use these or should i stay with JG fittings and return these?
Thanks

I am sure that if they are the correct size ( 19mm ,22mm etc ) they will be ok ,there are many brands on the market ,just make sure you fit them correctly as with any speedfit couplings .
  • 1. Make sure you use only Speedfit inserts.  While the outside diameter for any given size of pipe are the same (virtually) for all brands, the inside diameters can vary slightly, so different inserts suit different manufacturers' pipes of the same nominal outside diameter.
    2. You only need inserts for plastic pipes.  If you are using compression fittings with JG Speedfit pipes, the inserts in the plastic pipes must be the sort WITHOUT the extra O rings.

  • there could be product or installer issues, fittings may leak water afterwards or the property is being sol;d and the buyer asks for invoices for all plumbing alterations since the original plumbing was installed,
