Who would you recommend for a new kitchen

Hello - I'm considering a new kitchen, wood door/shaker style.  I'm getting quotes from an independent who uses Symphony and Howdens.  Are there any seasoned kitchen buyers/fitters here would can tell me if these are good makes, I'd be going for their mid/high ranges, if not who should I look at please?   I've seen DIY Kitchens but I can't get my head around the bits I'd need to order and it's a big mistake to make if you get it wrong.  I'd be looking at about 15 units, mostly cupboards and drawers, with one integrated appliance and the sink!  Thanks.

Our kitchen is by Second Nature.  Solid oak shaker doors, and still looks as good as new 15 years later.

Both Symphony and Howdens are fine.

DIY Kitchens do have a good reputation once you can get it ordered.  Their interiors are nicer than above, because you get colour choice.  Lots of people don't care about that.

Mine is a 1909 Kitchen which is in the same group as Second Nature.

It is the quality of fitting that is most important.  The cheapest of kitchens will last a long time if it's fitted well.

We've bought and fitted everything from an off the shelf B&Q to fully bespoke kitchens that cost more than the house we out the B&Q one into.  Nothing is really that bad.

I'm a fan of Ikea for value for money.  Not so much B&Q.

We chose Masterclass from Kingswell Kitchens for our new kitchen four years ago and we are very satisfied with it.

Whichever manufacturer you choose, a lot does depend on the fitters so do your research carefully.

    Ours did an excellent job.

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".
