Cleaning grout off travertine tiles
We've finally finished tiling and grouting our bathroom with travertine tiles. We sealed the tiles (twice!) before grouting and are just cleaning off all the grout residue before sealing again. Most of the residue comes off with rather a lot of elbow grease but there are also some stubborn bits of grout which just won't…

We are covered by "Barclays" against various maladies through some scheme. For the last few months a small pipe that connects to the water cylinder has been slowly dripping - nothing major ( we just collected it in an old ice cream tub 5 -10 mm total), but we thought we'd see to it via BArclays. They sent out a plumber…

New arial
How much should I pay to have a new arial fitted on my roof? Should we get a digital arial? We have an ok picture on our TVs but a much better picture using Sky (which we only have connected to our living room) - we'd like to get a similarly good picture in the bedrooms. Have never been able to get a Channel 5.

Flexible tap connectors. Yes or no?
I'm going to do some DIY in the bathroom, and will probably use flexible tap connectors to make things a bit easier. But, I remember a few years ago a plumber telling me never to use them as they are prone to splitting and making a bit of a mess. Any thoughts?
