Would you position a boiler over stairs?
I was convinced I could put my new combi boiler over the stairs, creating cupboard space in the kitchen. First Corgi guy said no probs, would do the job, etc, etc. 2nd chap point blank refused to put it out there, saying he wouldnt service it as you would have to balance off a ladder to service it. 3rd guy said he'd do it…

Waxing new skirting board
We've got some untreated oak skirting board. I'm going to wax it before fixing it, with that brush on Ronseal wax. I figured it would make less mess that way. Do I need to do anything with the other side? I figured not, but thought I'd double check before it was too late! Thanks.

Swimming pool in the garden - how to get rid?
Does anyone know how easy it is to fill in a garden swimming pool. It takes ages and money to maintain and never used now so is it just a case of filling it with soil and say, covering with a rockery. It's quite a small pool. Or is it more technical? I'm worried just heaping soil in could lead to subsidence in the garden…
