Most doors on sale everywhere are hollow inside, so if you cut them down its no good :(

We have got the same problem.I am starting to look online now at made to measure services.Had to do the same for our kitchen units as all the doors were not standard sizes and got made to measure online cheaper than would have been in the DIY shops
  • even if doors are hollow you can still take a few mil of the top bottom and sides

Cut door down to size. Push egg boxing stuff down a bit inside door. Remove plywood/hardboard from the bit you cut off leaving you with the wood bit - glue and push wood bit inside door. Then put a couple of G cramps on until glue hardens.

ebay. You'll find what you need evenutally. Get search results sent to you every day and check religiously. I've gotten doors in the size that I need, in new condition for £1! Just a case of watching and waiting.
