Would you position a boiler over stairs?

I was convinced I could put my new combi boiler over the stairs, creating cupboard space in the kitchen. First Corgi guy said no probs, would do the job, etc, etc. 2nd chap point blank refused to put it out there, saying he wouldnt service it as you would have to balance off a ladder to service it. 3rd guy said he'd do it but would charge extra for proper scaffolding type ladder, and suggested that servicing would be a pain in the future. It seems that I could have a smaller glow worm combi above my toilet (mind your head:rolleyes: ) or a valiant ecotech in the kitchen in a slightly better postion than before.
Is it worth the aggravation in order to get an extra cupboard?

A couple of friends have had their combis installed in the loft to make more space in the kitchen. Is this a viable alternative?0

To be honest no...next door have had an extension in the loft and I wanted to creat an opportunity for this in the future. I've decided to keep it in the kitchen, but in a more favourable position. I dont want the hastle of scaffolding for future servicing, and putting off any furture vendors.Projects 2020-
