Mira Shower hose - How do I replace it?
Hiya, Can anyone help me. I've got a Mira mixer shower. The chrome hose is split at the top so needs replacing. Is this an easy job that I can do or is it complicated?? I'm assuming I'd have to turn the water off at the mains and somehow disconnect the hose. Do you think it just needs unscrewing or is it fixed on some…

Boiler problems! Please advise...
Hi all Hoping to get some basic advice here... Our Boiler has been misbehaving for a while, and it's now gone kind of kaput. Boilers, types of boilers & C. Heating for Dummies
Hi all. We've just bought our first house which is exciting as well as scary. We got our gas fire and boiler checked and it was bad news all round. The gas fire looks as if it could be quite dangerous so we've ditched that. Gas fires aren't very green anyway so we might get a nice looking electric one which we might use…

Crackling noise in my oven - potential death trap?
Evening MSE-ers! Last night I noticed a very faint crackling noise coming from my oven. It stops when you switch off the power at the wall, putting paid to the theory that it was just the element contracting! It isn't really noticeable unless it is silent in the room but it does sound like something electrical and I am now…
