double glazing replacement glass

Is it easy to remove the glass panels in a average front door Also how to do it if you can thanks

its pvc type with the strip glass double glazing
it looks as if they were fitted seperate into the frame but not sure how0 -
I think the glass is normally stuck on the upvc with double sided tape, at least the doors we have always had in the past0

Glaziers usually have a special tool for lifting the glass out. The glass is sometimes clipped in place under the surrounding frame, which can be removed & then the double glazed unit lifted out once clips are undone.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I see but how do you actually remove the surrounding frame first to get to the glass underneath
Does it just need prizing off etc

Yes, the frames just need prising off, but the glaziers usually have a special tool they use to avoid damaging the frame.
You may be lucky having a go with something like a strong plastic spatula if you have one in the kitchen.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

We have a bathroom unit that has gone but cannot find out where to get a DIY replacement from, it is frosted glass too so have the addded problem of obataining the same problem.0
