I think the glass is normally stuck on the upvc with double sided tape, at least the doors we have always had in the past

Glaziers usually have a special tool for lifting the glass out. The glass is sometimes clipped in place under the surrounding frame, which can be removed & then the double glazed unit lifted out once clips are undone.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • I see but how do you actually remove the surrounding frame first to get to the glass underneath
Does it just need prizing off etc
    thanks

Yes, the frames just need prising off, but the glaziers usually have a special tool they use to avoid damaging the frame.

You may be lucky having a go with something like a strong plastic spatula if you have one in the kitchen.
