What would you recommend as flooring for a kitchen/dining room? I've had a quote for the work, now need materials . Currently we have lino and carpet, you can imagine how attractive that is. Does laminate survive the kitchen? Or shall we go the whole hog and tile it?
Edit: It seems I can't even spell 'kitchen...', wish me luck!

We had lino that looked like laminate floor. It's even better these days, you can get lino tiles that look like laminate, with grooves and everything. Easy to keep clean and fairly cheap. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

i've just had the floormaster tileloc put in my kitchen and it looks really good and was quite cheap compared to what i'd pay for real tiles - and because I installed it myself, didn't have to pay for a tiler!!
good luck!

HI
Vinyl would be the least expensive option followed by laminate then tiles. Vinyl will need a good floor to go down on whereas you can get away with a few minor discrepencies with laminate or tiles.
Cant quite see how you have already got a price for the work as each option will vary greatly on installation time??
