We want to build an extension to the back and garage conversion to our property but are finding it very difficult to get a good trustworthy builder in North London. If you know of anyone please could you provide me with details.

Cleaning Stone wall?
Hi there, I have an old stone garden wall and when young my DDs painted our door number on (it was useful at time as only have a side door so number couldn't be seen) and now I would like to remove this. Is there some product/method of doing this? Thanks.

White coming out of my brick work
I've a 1930s house, and just noticed some white powder coming out of some of the lower brick work near to the floor on the outside of my house. What can I do to stop this or clean it up ?? Would they clear water repellant paint be of any use?? I also had cavity wall installation last year could that be to blame?

I have a very large metal fence which needs painting. I would prefer to buy a 5 litre tin of Hammerite black hammered paint. Where are the cheapest and best places / website to find it ?
