Shower Screen - Broken Pivot

Hi all
I've got a shower screen above my bath which is made up of two panels of frameless glass. The panels are joined by a full length metal fitting with a pivot at the top and bottom to hold in the adjoining panel. (Hope that makes sense
)
When I was cleaning it last week, one panel fell away - the pivot part has snapped off inside the other panel. Is this something that can be repaired or will I need to buy a completely new screen? From memory, the screen cost over £400 so if it can be repaired, all the better. And if it can be repaired, what would I expect to pay? Do I get a bathroom specialist or a general builder to fix it?
Thanks for all help - much appreciated.

Doubt either of them ! do you know who supplied the screen? to find the maker for parts.
You could check out blacksmiths/wireworkers, maybe they could improvise a repair, I reckon you would have to deliver the screen to them.0 -
I had the same thing on a folding shower door, as I had it from new I knew who the makers were and phoned them direct, they put a new hinge/pivot in the post, free with their compliments, took about 2 minutes to fit it myself.0

you really need to know the makers name. the wholesalers usually keep parts/spares in stock.
simple enough to replace diy.Get some gorm.0 -
If the hinge is plastic and removable (i.e screwed in), you can replace with aluminium hinge at a small cost and little hassle. We need more details to offer further suggestions.0
