I have had a freeview box for a while but recently have trouble viewing the ITV channels because of a poor signal. There is no problem with viewing any channel on the normalTV or most of the freeview channels.
I have been told that one can get a signal booster, I'm not sure where...
Does anyone have any experience of this and any advice to offer.
I livre in greater London and have not had any problems in the past.

Thanks. Can you tell me what would be a reasonable price to pay for a new aerial ?0

bout 15 quid from wickes or maplins etc... (regular type)
the bigger ones (for poor signal areas) cost about 30 quid.Get some gorm.0 -
Before anyone rushes off to Wickes or Maplins to buy a new aerial, you need to establish which type ( band ) of aerial is suitable for your location.0

Is the aerial in the loft or on the roof ?
It can be pointless using signal amplifiers ( boosters) unless you have the right aerial and mast for your area !0 -

Indeed, signal boosters can make matters worse.
A masthead amplifier with the correct band aerial, correctly aligned will overcome most problems, together with good quality cable and connections.0 -
Yes I do have an aerial on the roof, I have had it for many years0

I've had the same problem recently too!
I've just set up a TV at my flat, and attached the freeview box. The TV was in front of the window. Then I decided to move it to the adjacent wall (about 1 metre distance), and now I can't get ITV and C4. Grr.
All very bizarre.
I bought a better coaxial cable in Currys for 9.99  and a signal booster for 14.99. Still no joy.
I don't watch much TV, so it isn't causing me too much of a problem, but I do miss it.
Any other ideas?
What freeview boxes are everyone using? Mine is 25 pound Tesco jobbie by "Digilogic"Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0
