Bosch Dishwasher
4 years old, saw LL in the display (never seen that before), went pop, saw a spark and could smell burning. Turned it off and on again but it has died. Is it worth getting repaired, or finding out what is wrong (that will cost a call-out fee), or should I just get a new one?

Thought we'd celebrate the New Year by buying a new vacuum!!! :D Have reserved the VAX V092TTEVE 1800 from Currys to collect tomorrow - £69.99 (reduced from £99.99) :T My only preferences are bagless and as effective as possible for as little effort as possible! ;) With 3 dogs this seemed like a good buy.... I'll be taking a sledgehammer....

picture hook holes
How do you match paint up when you didn't paint the room yourself? Basically moved into a new place and don't want pictures on some walls that the other owner did. We don't want to repaint the room, but it looks horrid with picture hook holes in the wall. Any suggestions to what we can do?

Any washing machine repair (or other knowledgeable) peeps about?
Got a Zanussi ZWF1430W which has started beeping and throwing up an error code - E90. It seems to only do it erratically (although when it does play up, it's usually at the start). Once the wash is going, it all seems ok. I can't find anything on the net about E90, the user manual only mentions E10, E20 & E40 error codes.…

Carpet cleaning
Is it recommended to purchase a carpet cleaner rather than pay a professional to do it? I was thinking of getting someone in to do it, but then wondered if its cheaper in the long run to just buy one. Are they any good, do they do a good job? I have pets, 4 cats and a dog. Dog is a puppy at the minute, so most stains are…

Hi there, Per my other post re electrical works, I've just received a quote from a builder to carry out various different works at a flat I've recently bought. Hot water not too hot!
Recently, I've noticed our hot water isn't as hot as it used to be. If we have the heating on, or it's just been on, the water's not too bad but if the heating's not been on then the water's not very hot. I have a combi boiler which I'm not sure of it's age. Any ideas of the cause?
