Hi
I need a replacement for this switch, but I cannot find one like it. As you can see from the picture the switch has snapped and is exposing the terminals inside.
Only looked at B&Q and on the internet as yet. Can anyone help?

It is on an uplighter that has a directional light on it too. So it switches the uplighter and the directional light.0

my best advice would be to go into edmundsons or newey eyre wholsallers as they have catalouges etc or the lads on the counter will be able to help you

Could you use a double architrave switch with a surface mounted back box, but don't surface mount the back box?
Just be careful to drill out suitable size holes for the cable.

Back box: http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=29025&ts=15898. This is a 1G box, you may have to source a 2G box separately.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -

You'll just need to be a bit savvy with the wiring. These switches will be designed to work with two different feeds - You'll need to have each switch working from one supply. Just connect them in parallel across the live. Neutral will wire straight back to the supply - you may need block connectors as well.
Any electrical wholesalers will have these - as will B and Q etc.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
Not sure where you can get a dual inline cord switch like that from but one other option is to use single way switches like these:
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?TabID=1&ModuleNo=13156&doy=30m12
http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/DT102.html

You could then either:
a) Use one single way switch and wire both lamps onto the same switch so both come on at once
b) Use two single way switches with a cable connecting between the inputs of both switches. TLC direct's one looks a safer bet for this because of it's "capacity for a through wire".
