Phillips TV needs mending and is out of warranty - suggestions please.........
I have a 32" Phillips flat screen TV purchased Dec 2002 that has started to go wrong. The screen is blurring around the edges (no I don't need glasses ;->) and seem to be getting worse. I've checked the connections, the sky box and the other TV's in the house seem to be working fine. Contacted COMET, where I purchased the…

Real Fire
We moved into our house about 6 months ago and the fireplace is boarded up/plastered over. It looks like the chimney is still intact. We want to knock it all out and have a real fire. Does anyone have any ideas of cost to do this? Is it just a case of getting a sledge-hammer and then getting the chimney checked/swept? Do…

dyson brush not going around
I've got an upright dyson. It is picking up but not very good as the brush underneath has stopped going around. I know how to fix it. The problem is, Dyson have used 'bizarre' screws. They are plastic & quite shallow. I cannot undo them with any screw drivers I have or any types of those 'keys' used to tighten nuts/bleed…

Hole in bath - any simple repair solutions?
Hi, Our bath is about 5 years old and I think it is made of plastic. On the base of the bath about 10cms diagonally in from the plug hole is what I can only describe as a flake in the plastic. It is not so much a hole but more a slightly raised piece of the bath - if you really tried you could get your fingernail…

Combi in loft...good idea?
We've just had various heating companies to give us quotes to insstall a complete new central heating system in our mid-terrace Victorian house. One of them has suggested that we install the combi in the loft. It actually seems quite a good idea, there's loads of space up there, unlike the rest of the house. Has anybody…

Roof - do looks count?
Can someone help with a roofing issue please? The house I am buying has some roof spread which neither builder nor surveyor sees as a major problem, it is quite easily solved.
