I went to Carpetright yesterday to check their prices for laminate floors and saw some kind of thick vinyl called Rhinofloor, not cheap but look very nice. I need to cover all rooms
. So now I wonder if I should go rhinofloor or laminate. Can someone give me some advices.
Thanks

Hello chris37
Welcome to the MSE site.
We have Rhinofloor in our kitchen and it looks very nice. It's very easy to keep clean (just needs mopping) and it's wearing well. It's 11 years old and it's not faded or worn. We do wear slippers indoors though, so if you wear shoes in the house maybe it wouldn't wear/last as well in your home?
I can't give you any comments about laminate flooring and how well it wears because we don't have any in our house.
I hope that helps.

Rhinfloor in our kitchen too !.
It was 4 years old when her indoors decided to cover over it with laminate. The laminate lasted about 4 months...it was awful stuff. Walking on it was like tap dancing...clickety clack.
Rhino is easy to keep clean too.

Quality vinyl flooring should last longer than most of the laminates that are around at the moment (unless you go for something v. top of the range!). Most laminates certainly can't cope with any quantity of liqiud being spilt on them (kitchen accidents etc) and some are quite slippery for young children or pets."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

Is rhinofloor slippy at all when wet? We have bathroom type carpet in the bathroom purely because there is no danger of slipping, but would really prefer not to have carpet there. Have always felt that vinyl could be a bit unsafe. Do you get a non-slip version of rhinofloor or it is all non-slip.
I remember someone saying that they had got some special vinyl in Carpetright for their bathroom which was completely non-slip but can't remember any more about it and I don't think we have a Carpetright nearby.0
