Cows vs Goats Milk - Intolerance?
I recently had a blood test for food intolerances, it showed I was intolerant to cows milk, only a level 1 intolerance, with level 3 being the highest. However I was not intolerant to goat or sheeps milk. What is it in cows milk that I could be intolerant to? I presume it is not the lactose, as these occur in goats/sheeps…

Watch out fabulous blonde coming through,
Hi All, I know there is hundreds of these kinds of threads in this forum for the same thing but I have decided a diary may be the best way for me to challenge my massive need to loose weight and stay in control. I am at my heaviest now I have ever been, I have an unhealthy relationship with food, I am so unfit it's untrue…

dentist - who can refer?
A while ago I went for one of those free consultations with an orthodontist. At one point she mentioned that she could refer me to an orthagnathic surgeon if I wanted to. I declined. I regretted this decision soon after I then went to another free consultation with a different ortho a few weeks after. I asked whether he…

Hi This is a bit of an embarrassing problem but I need to ahem...tone up my pelvic floor! I am currently doing the exercises to help this but was wondering if any of you females out there have tried the exercising cones? I was thinking of ordering some but not sure to be honest. Do you think if I persist with just good old…

Thinking of joining Slimming World
My name is Nikki and I am 27 years old. I have been thinking of joining Slimming World, my sister has joined and lost half a stone in 3 weeks. And I've seen loads of inspiring pictures on Facebook and Instagram but I would like people's opinions and points of view. Things such as what you you do for exercise, do you find…

Eyelash oil/serum
Finally acknowledged that no mascara is going to make my sparse stubby eyelashes look good. I'm late 50's no health problems and a good diet, but hair and eyelashes are not as thick and lovely as they were. Everything else is thicker though ! I tried a Mavala serum a couple of years back which made no difference at all. So…

Beverly Beaute - Do Not Get Cheated!!!
I have recently qualified as a nail technician, and was looking for gel polishes to get for the salon. I couldn't decide between Harmony Gelish and Jessica Geleration products, so thought I'd get a mixture. I had been a little wary of going through Beverly Beaute to purchase products, due to their low prices and not being…

Mixing / sheering out super high coverage foundations: economical & versatile?
I recently watched Beauty YouTuber, Wayne Goss, say in one of his videos how Illamasqua Rich Foundation is great value because as well as being used 'as is' to provide very high coverage (it can disguise scars and tattoos), it can also be 'sheered out' with moisturiser to give foundation / bb cream coverage, as needed.…

Advising DVLA of recent Illness
I recently spent 3.5 months in hospital with infection in my brain, spine and lungs. The infection in my brain led to abbesses, swelling and ventriculitis. At my worst point I had a seizure which I now am on anti seizure tablets for and will be until at least April. I understand that due to the seizure and medication I…

Wearing trousers to a christening?
I've been asked to be a godparent to a friends baby and I'm really lost for what to wear, I always feel happiest in trousers so I would like to buy a smart pair of navy trousers with a lace top and dress it up with nice heels and jewellery but I'm not sure whether I might be a bit underdressed as I'm not just a guest. Any…

continuing health care
Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with this. Mum is in hospital and been Fast Tracked. Unfortunately we have only been offered a place at one care home, which we as a family felt was unsuitable. (the place was dirty, rundown and smelt as well as the fact that we did not feel there would be adequate staff.) Just…
