At the moment they are both mounted internally within a small cupboard approximately 300mm of each other . The cupboard is located at low level within an entrance porch . The porch has no specific ventilation other…

Enjoyed constant electric only costs via Bulb past 2 years. Managed this year with 76.50 DD, though it has been mild etc. recent e-mail suggests Bulb are increasing this £98.76 Which is disappointing. I guess they aren't taking into consideration Warm Home Discount if accepted again this year. Also only storage heater is…

Can't move away from Scottish Power - help please
Hello. I have tried on a few occasions to move my electricity only flat from Scottish Power as any online comparison shows cheaper options available. However, after a few days, every supplier has come back to say they can’t deal with the type of meter I have. After looking into it, it appears I have an ‘off peak D’ meter…

Using £1.30 gas overnight when the boiler is switched off at the wall!
Hi all....we have a smart meter now and I have noticed that the gas is going up overnight when nothing is being used and the boiler is switched off. This isn't the standing charge as it's too much. We are looking at about £35 -£40 a month in gas I don't think we are using. Has anyone else had this? Any help or suggestions…

Calculating your energy usage for the year?
It'll be something so simple but because of the number that i've worked out, i'm feeling i've done it wrong. I got notification email today that i'm on a variable tariff as of today. I must've missed a warning email a few weeks ago maybe. So i start looking about for better deals. I'm with Tonik and they've messed my bill…

Lack of good switching deals early October 2020?
Hi folks, I created my account to ask a somewhat broad question: is it just me, or does it seem to others as though there is a lack of really competitive energy deals right now? Maybe the consolidation of the industry through smaller ones going bust or being bought? But it feels (to me at least) that there isn't that…

Individual Room Temperature Control
Last winter, I was looking at getting a smart temperature control for the house. We have a conventional gas central heating system with hot water via cylinder. There are thermostatic radiator valves on each radiator. The popular smart controllers look easy to fit, but (as far as I can make out) only do the same type of…

NPower bill - they changed their minds
I move house 18 months ago. When I moved out, I gave my final meter readings and they said that the final meter reading was enough to power the whole street (ie. thousands of pounds). They messed my readings up because they somehow thought I had a smart meter - I didn't. No idea whose smart meter reading they were looking…
