Is Baxi Boiler Cover via Domestic & General worth it (or any boiler cover)?
Hi allI've had a Baxi Boiler plan with D&G for the past few years. Our boiler was installed 5 years ago, brand new in a new-build, but unfortunately the builders were horrendous and installed the boilers in our street in a horrific manner where they have encountered leaks, problems etc - hence the cover.I was just…

Green Home Grant - Solar Thermal - NO RHI
Now the scheme is open - had a chance to read through all the terms and conditions - and there is a BIG thing that wasn't mentioned earlier for anyone who was looking to get solar thermal and hoping for a small income from the RHI scheme along the way - you won't get any. Apparently the amount of the Grant will be deducted…

Eligibility for Green Homes Grant
I'm a homeowner with a 1930s (updated in the 50s) ex-LA semi with un-insulated cavity walls and a poorly insulated loft, mostly double glazed (installed in the 90s thanks to proximity to a noisy former RAF base). Oil-fired combi boiler installed in 2008. I started claiming UC in August when my furlough ended, although…

Bulb
I have been using Bulb as a supplier for a year now, but having come through the first year with nearly £200 surplus I have been told that I must increase my payments per month “as I am not covering the cost” of the electricity I am using according to them. I have also been told that I must accrue a sizeable buffer of…

Excessive Gas Meter Readings?
Hello all, hopefully someone can shed some light on either what im doing wrong or whatever is happening. I moved into a new flat 16/09 and the reading was xx06404, now just 13 days later my gas meter says the reading is xx11252. The meter is m^3 so it would seem absurd that I could manage to consume this much gas, it just…

I am currently on a 1 Rate (i.e. Day rate only) Prepayment Meter. Unfortunately landlord is not happy for prepayment meter to removed for a credit (legacy type meter). My elderly parents have a gas boiler that must be over 20 years old. I've been looking into whether the new Government green grant scheme would have enabled them to finally upgrade the boiler. The answer to that is no. However, upon reading into other options available, I came across the ECO scheme (Energy Company…
