Eligibility for Green Homes Grant
I'm a homeowner with a 1930s (updated in the 50s) ex-LA semi with un-insulated cavity walls and a poorly insulated loft, mostly double glazed (installed in the 90s thanks to proximity to a noisy former RAF base). Oil-fired combi boiler installed in 2008. I started claiming UC in August when my furlough ended, although freelance work is thankfully beginning to pick up. Went on the simpleenergyadvice site and put all my details in as honestly as I could ( it told me my house has an EPC rating of F ) The only Primary measure it offered me was Roof Room Insulation (I don't have a 'Roof Room', just a draughty loft space!). Without a primary measure to select I'm ineligible for anything fancy like replacing the remaining single-glazed back door and windows.
Just how bad would y house have to be to be able to get funding for cavity wall insulation?! I would love to hear from anyone who's had a more positive outcome!

It’s worth looking to see if you can get insulation via the ECO scheme instead while you’re claiming UC. I’m not allowed to post a link but if you google it it will be easy to find and check your eligibility.0
