Is my husband liable for his ex-wifes utility bill?
My husband broke up with his ex-wife 5 years ago and moved out. It was a bad split and he had to move out quickly and only had time to pack one bag full of as much stuff as he could. Just over three years ago his divorce was finalised and with it a financial order. I believed this meant that he was no longer liable for any…

Prepaid meters
I have a pay as you go "prepay" meter which prevents a high monthly bill. I have this type of supply to prevent that type of hefty monthly bill / direct debit. So why can't I switch supplier without having to take on an unwanted direct debit? I don't have any credit issues and i'm not black listed. Any ideas please ???:(

Over £200…

Hi, I have had an ongoing issue with isupply for over a year. The outstanding debt originally sat at around £1200 which was accrued when my ex-partner said he was paying electricity, but was not. Orbit Energy price change, fixed not variable tariff
Hi all, I signed up to the Orbit Energy 10%OFF4LIFE tariff a few months ago as the unit rates looked very good. I was under the impression it was a variable tariff as that's how it was displayed on mse, and therefore would receive an email prior to any rate changes. I received an email from Orbit not too long ago informing…

British Gas Smart Meter In House Display
I've recently had my Smart Meters (previously EON) replaced by British Gas. They're the latest SMETS2 meters. Having used several generations of smart meters previously, I'm generally aware of the information that the displays can show. However, this latest generation of display doesn't appear to show an instant numerical…
