Pence Per Unit Electricty Meter
Hello, myself and my partner have recently moved to a two bedroom flat about 2 months ago and have noticed our electricity seems to be super expensive. We have a £1 coin operated electric meter where we need to insert £1 coins to get our electricity. Also our property is above a shop which is also owned by our landlord,…

Any way to change the address on gas meter database
I wanted to move to Avro Energy but they say that my address doesn't matches the one on the gas meter database. This is due to our address being renamed by the council to years ago. I was with Economy energy at that time and despite me advising them of the address change they have only for some reason changed it on the…

I think I have been really dumb :(
I think I have horribly miscalculated my energy requirements and have ended up with a huge bill that I have to clear. I would appreciate anyone confirming what I have done wrong and that my corrections will ensure I don't do it again. 1. Used Cheap energy club to switch in Oct 17 2. Used KwH as my assessment of energy use.…

Help needed with economy energy
Hi all, I had been with economy energy for a year and left to a different supplier. I received my final bill on 03/12/18 that showed I am £378 in credit. On 04/12/2018 I received a voice message saying that the money has been refunded. On 13/12 I phoned them to say I have not yet received the refund and they said they have…

Can your landlord prevent you from switching energy providers?
Hi, We’ve just moved in to a property and the landlord has put a block on us changing providers. It’s currently on an economy tariff with eon and we don’t know which or what time the cheap rates are. We use most of our energy during the day as I work from home so we’re not sure an economy tariff works for us. The landlord…

How to contact British Gas
Well, my PC broke a while back and I lost my contact info. Now I'm not getting my Gas bills and now BG have started texting me with reminders to pay, but with no contact info or account ID other than the website. So, I've been on the website and can't see contact details and I've lost my login details. So, how the heck do…

First time energy buyer (Switching Query)
I got the keys to my new property around two and half weeks ago, and realised that it was on a Pay As You Go smart meter with Utilita. I completed an energy quote on Compare The Market and found myself a good tariff with EDF at approximately £50 per month (Subject to my usage of course) All I know is that in two weeks that…

Problems with Toto Energy
After leaving Toto energy on the 23rd Sept they are still withholding our credit - a substantial amount of cash I have been trying to get refunded since early October. Every time I call (5 times) they give me a date that the money will be in my account and it doesn't appear. Latest is that on the 14th Dec my refund was…

Solarplicity wrongly charger me £800 for final bill & won't pay back. Help!
Hi, I recently moved from Solarplicity to Bulb energy. Solarplicty sent me a bill dated the 12th November, but received on the 24th, stating a final bill of almost £800 which was due on the 28th. This bill was mostly due to me supposedly using £800 of gas in the month of August(?!). Our entire electricity and gas usage for…

General Energy Query
I’m currently with Avro, paying £51pm. We don’t really use that much utility wise and up to a couple of days ago our account was over £80 in credit. Tariff finishes in Feb so starting to look at other options but all seem at least about £10pm more than what we currently pay, so I’m reluctant to sign up to a deal that costs…

Smart Meter Switching
I had Smets1 smart meters fitted by Npower. When I moved to One Select they became dumb. One Select has gone bust and I am now being transferred to Together Energy. I wish I'd waited to have a Smets2 meter installed as they stay active even if you switch - I understand they are being rolled out from now. Apparently Smets1…

Exit fees
I have gas with one provider (no exit fees) and electric with another (£25 exit fee) and I want to change to a duel fuel tariff with the company who is currently providing electric. Will I have to be exit fees even if I’m staying with the same provider but request to switch to a duel fuel tariff ? Thanks!
