British Gas Collective fix
I signed up to British Gas collective fix via MSE Energy Club in December. It seems that only the gas has gone through as electric states not available. I think it is because I am on Economy 7 but was not told at the time so was expecting a drop in my electric bills which has not happened. Is there anything I can do?

First Utility MISLEADING "Upgrade my Tariff"
On their upgrade my tariff page it gives figures based on "My Current Tariff" and then for other tariffs. For me it showed £1,798 for my current tariff and £1,457 (a saving of £341) for First Fixed April 2017 v7. Even taking off the £60 early exit fees that’s still a saving of £281. No brainer right? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This…

NPower are the pits!
After consulting the comparison tool in this site (Cheapenergy Club) we decided to switch to NPower. They asked us for a reading, but my electricity meter has SIX BLACK numbers and their site only allows five, They have a few videos of how to read meters but mine (which is pretty new) IS NOT THERE. That is a minor issue,…

SCOTTISH POWER are a nightmare
Ive had it with Scottish Power if you have a choice I would advise anyone not to use them as an energy supplier. Ive had too many complaints and fights with them the latest having been resolved by the ombusman. Now for the fourth year running they have not payed my warm home discount, thats ripped me off to the tune of…

Which company is best?
It is all very confusing. I have been with EDF for quite a few years and always found them to be very good. They let you change to new tariffs at the click of a button without any exit fee. I have been thinking of looking for a new electricity supplier recently as they are not as competitive as some (well according to…

EON not allowing transfer to British Gas - blaming 3 party meter company
I have been experienceing problems with EON since I attempted to switch my electricity supply to British Gas. I had a prepay meter which was changed to a billing meter on 21/10/15 but my prepay meter was never removed from my account so the property showed as having 2 electricity meters. I have been trying since January to…

A generic household bills question
Hi, I have just bought my first flat, after spending years renting a 2 bedroom flat with a friend. I am wondering if you could guesstimate my household bills per month for me...? The flat: brand new (new build), 1 bedroom, 544 square feet, in Isleworth. Heating: gas Everything else: electric So, my bills will be: gas,…

Switching utility provider
Unfortunately to switch utility provider to get a better tariff I am advised I would incur an extra £ 60 exit fee on top of the final bill. This is obviously a lot to pay out. I can't even stay with the same provider, ie first utility and go on a better tariff as I would still incur exit fees. This is not good customer…

Scottish Power billing
I am paying SP £33.07 per month dual fuel - and managed to build up a £76 credit over the last 12 months So - I reduced the payment to £30 - which raised an automated email from SP - informing me that if I did this - there was a likelihood that at the end of the next 12 months - I would be £85 in debit !! OK - How ?

Boiler cover renewal.
It's boiler cover renewal time, currently with british gas, they've bumped the cover up an extra £5 a month, have called and they can knock it down 15%. But it's still more expensive than most other quotes, and that's not taking into account cashback etc. Just after some opinions, are homeserve still to be avoided at all…

FU arghh
Sorry just want to moan, about 12-18 months ago, despite having a Direct Debit set up the not so wonderful First Utility failed to claim it for a few months (they had previously it was their system error) . I did not realise so my bill went up. It has been going down and i appreciate that i need to pay it, but when i spoke…

Switching to NP - bad idea??
Although still in my switchover grace period to NP, I am getting worried. It was the price per KWh and that attracted me but uSwitch also reaffirms it is the most popular deal by farin any case. Can someone tell me why this is despite the fact that NP is one of the worst suppliers reported.

Storage heaters charging during the day
Hi So Scottish Power have been no help in the past so thought I'd ask here before contacting them again. I have electric storage heaters (hall and living room) and panel heaters (in each bedroom) - all the original ones from when the flat was built in 1990. I thought I was on an economy 7 tariff with cheaper electricity…

Smart Meter Rollout - Further Delays
If the report below is to be believed, it would seem that the roll-out of the Smart Metering Data Communications Company (DCC) delayed last year from 1 October to 1 April 2016 is further delayed to August. This will in turn, delay the roll out of SMETS2 specification meters which would enable smart switching between…
