Eon Rep Please - Rude Meter Reader / Smart Meter
Can an Eon rep explain why I am being hassled by meter readers when I have a smart meter?. Had a meter reader turn up in Nov, after not seeing one for a couple of years, said it was a compulsory safety check every 2 years and they read meter at same time. Fair enough no problem all done today 3 months later another meter…

Collective Switch 2017 Tariffs are dearer.
Looking at the tariffs the 2016 Fixed has cheaper tariffs for Gas and Elec. use than the 2017 Fix. The only saving seems to be in Standing Charge, am I right?

BG - Collective Fix February 2017
Hi all, I took advantage of the British Gas Collective Fix December 2016 at the end of last year. Now they've release Collective Fix February 2017. Am I right in thinking from the write up that if I switch to this new tariff I will not be charged the £60 cancellation fee for my current tariff with them?

Getting the best price deal when you have 2 electricity meters
I live in a flat which has 2 electricity meters - one for 'Off Peak' usage, the other for 'Standard Usage'. I believe it would be cheaper to move to one of the cheaper tariffs - but they seem to be based on having one meter. The advice I've had from two mainstream supplies is they would replace the 2 meters with one (free…

Baffled by energy switching & supplier reviews!
Dear all, I am sure I am not the first nor will I be the last but whilst I am determined to switch, I am really struggling to find a provider I can trust! So I have been the loyal dog to Brit Gas for many years, but having done a few comparisons over different sites I could save a max of £385.00 pa. Great, BUT I then went…

No Edf cachback at the moment?
I have noticed that on all the cashback/switch sites for energy, edf seems to be noticeably absent from offering any cashback (especially among the big six). Are there any sites I am unaware of that offer EDF cashback? Or have they totally changed their policy in this regard? note: I have been looking at single fuel…

I have now done the comparison and even though they were not the cheapest So Energy who had great reviews on more than one…

Exit fees query
Martin says exit fees are not payable if you exit within 50 days of the end of your contract. My supplier's blurb says exit fees are payable right up until the last daye. Anyone know where Martin gets his 50 days from? TIA

Energy Club beaten by nPower.
Martin's energy club leaving me a bit cold as his big switch seems roundly beaten by NPower's Fixed Energy Online March 2017. Have a look at this first if you're like me, online, dual fuel, no economy 7 or 10, and pay by direct debit. Martin, mate, WHAT'S GOING ON?

One energy supply but two suppliers
Just over a year ago I decided to switch to First Utility. I then read a lot of bad reports and decided to go with Sainsbury's (British Gas) instead and did so. I cancelled my direct debit with to First Utility thinking that would be the end of it. Things were fine for the next year. Sainsbury's took my money every month…

Where to start Npower
Hi sorry but this could be a long post. Back in Aug 2015 I noticed my meter wasn't working as it should( Economy 7) The numbers hadn't moved for nearly a year on the low tarrif side,I only noticed this after downloading the npower app. Yes I was guilty of not paying attention to my meter readings or usage but now I pay…

Am I missing something?
Through fear of sounding dumb, I'm not making sense of the collective switch where British Gas comes out on top and MSE quote it as "Cheaper than the cheapest energy". On doing a comparison there are 17 other providers/deals that beat the BG deal for price so how can it be the cheapest?

Problem logging on to Cheap Energy Club
Problem Solved, thanks.

Scottish Power End of March Fixed Tariff Info
After doing all my usual comparisons, the Collective offer with BG is the cheapest, but I have been also wary BG has not had the best reviews. I have just phone Scottish Power to ask them will they be bringing anything else out as their latest Cancer tariff fixed for 2 years is still not as cheap as the collective. She…

Bailing-out halfway through a switch
I initiated a switch from Sainsburys to GB energy on 19th Jan. However, since then it's become pretty clear they're a cowboy outfit - I've had to give them my details three times and Emails never get replied to. I received a letter from GB energy dated 4th Feb giving details of the switch and saying the two weeks…

Converting to gas
Hello! I live in a rented flat and my landlord has asked if there is anything that needs to be done in the flat such as a new kitchen or bathroom. Currently the flat is all electric which is fine, but a gas cooker would be much better. Is it a simple/cheap job to convert to gas? Look forward to your advice! Will

E.on v20 unavailable - site down due to maintenance
Alas, E.on didn't quite seem to get v20 out for Wed morning. Site is currently down for maintenance. 'We're doing essential maintenance on our switch pages at the moment. We’re sorry for any inconvenience, we'll be back up and running as soon as possible.' Here's hoping they can fix it soon, if only to appease the MSE…
