squirrels ate my solar panels!
This is a slightly ridiculous situation and you’d be forgiven for laughing, as my colleagues have shamelessly done. We bought solar panels a few years ago, which recently completely stopped working. Today we found out that squirrels have eaten through all the wiring! This wasn’t mentioned as a hazard at the point of sale,…

NPower – nightmare with incorrect bills – please help
We moved into our rented flat in September 2013. I called NPower with meter readings for 3 rates as they showed on the meter and it was explained that we had an Economy 10 meter as I was trying to work out how much our 3 night storage heaters might be costing us. I gave meter readings again in May 2014 for the 3 rates but…

EDF gas estimations and more
Hi there, I am hoping I may get some useful insight into my problem with EDF gas?. In March 2015 my Gas account was £131.00 in credit. I was on the budget dd scheme and my monthly charge £49.00. Yet for reasons I am totally baffled, and because it has been very warm, have not used any heating since March 2015, so my bills…

NPower credit in error
I was just wondering the legal implications of this. Since leaving npower the other week, it appears my (now closed) account has (incorrectly) been credited with about £800 which I suspect I may receive a cheque for. If I accept it is it possible I'll potentially get into big trouble ? Thoughts? Thanks

myreading.net
Hi I've received a voicemail message asking me to submit my electricity meter reading via phone or online. The instructions also said I had to include my postcode and house number. For an online reading the address given was "myreading.net" Is this legitimate?! I'm currently with Co-op Energy (smart move there!) however I…

Scottish power debit
I stayed with SP in October on a new Tariff I put my meter readings in regularly and they have reduced my direct debit even though I am never in Credit. I hardly used any fuel over the past four weeks as I have been away. I am still in Debit. They still say that I am "on track with payments". I hoped to build up a credit…

Very high bill/something wrong with gas meter?
I've never had gas before so I'm hoping someone can help me make sense of this as I've no real comprehension of how big a 'unit' of gas is and what reasonable usage might look like. I had a new gas combi boiler put into my vacant property which is undergoing renovation, completed 29th December 2014. Meter reading on 19th…

Add your feedback on Hassle Free Boilers... (any good??)
Hi there, the time has come once again to upgrade my gas boiler (well our current boiler has lasted 7.5 years so far, so not bad going)... but from my research it seems the newer so called 'a-rated' boilers can make quite a big dent in the old gas bill - which is why I am looking to upgrade A friend mentioned Hassle Free…

EON high bill after changing the meter
My meter was replaced in January by EON which they informed would reduce my electricity bills. But instead the final reading from my old meter and the first actual reading from the new meter, both received in the bill in May showed a very high usage, compared to the bills for 3 years at the same property. When I complained…

Scottish Power problem - hijacking supply twice in 1 year
Last year, when our supplier was N Power, Scottish Power conducted an erroneous transfer. It took months and months to resolve and multiple complaints to both Scottish Power and N power, by phone, email, in writing and eventually was referred to the Ombudsman. It was finally sorted and then we decided to switch supplier to…
