Hi There...I'm currently on EDF Tarrif ending April 2015, I've signed up to EDF Blue Plus Price Promise June 2015 so as not to fall onto their Standard Tarrif & there's no exit Fees. Done a Comparison Quote & the First Utility ISave v 18 May 15 is estimated to save me £99. My usage is under average at 2,589 kWh Elec &…

Have just come to the end of my deal with BG and have been switched to standard tariff. The tell me I need to pay £83 per month. Having updated on Cheap energy club I see that MSE thinks my annual usage equates to £41 per month. Either energy club figures are wrong or BG wants to be in front by £500 over the year???

Smelly Gas Meter
My gas meter is in my kitchen in a cupboard above the back door. (It's a Victorian property with high ceilings). The meter itself is not attached to the wall. It just hangs there and is held by the two pipes either side. When it moves - either when physically touched (it can be wobbled) or by the vibrations from shutting…

2 readings, 1 rate
Hey there, Basically, I have 1 meter with the 'low' and 'normal' readings. I get charged the same per Kwh on all of these readings. I thought that I was supposed to get a lower Kph rate for the low readings. Can somebody please clarify why I get the same rate for both low and high. On my meter for my last bill it read…

How to claim for lost freezer contents from energy providers after power cut
Recently we had a power cut that lasted from 10pm Friday to 1pm Sunday and even though we never opened the freezer door, the contents inside perished. I have called British Gas (as I get dual fuel from them) but they said it is the provider SSE I should contact. I went through to SSE via their complaints procedure but they…

Meter running backwards (no solar)
I bought my house from a property developer in January and submitted electricity readings to the provider before changing to first utility - when I came to doing the reading for first utility I noticed the reading was less and I thought I had just made a mistake. I switched my gas and electric to NPower last October---the electric got set up ok but the gas did not. I did the usual phone calls where I was told it would all be sorted in a few weeks but when nothing had happened by January I raised it with the executive complaints department. They have been dealing with it since then,…

I cannot…

Fix for 12 months or until 30 June 2016?
Hi. My EDF fix has come to an end and I'm trying to decide between Ovo's 12-month fix and Ovo's fix until 30 June 2016. On the (kWh) usage figures I provided, the longer fix comes out £26 more expensive, which roughly equates to the same prices for this year and then a 5% price rise next year. I'm assuming prices will go…
